Agree about the Red Cross. We have Bahamians in our locale who are collecting here so that is a great choice for us. Only benefit of living in a hurricane zone ~ we understand the need to help each other through an are blessed when it doesn't hit us. Thanks to the OP for starting this post. Those folks are in dire straits.

The Red Cross needs donations for both the Bahamas and the United States as there have been significant expenses associated with the relief effort in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.  If you are donating for the Bahamas make sure you donate to the Bahama Red Cross --  https://bahamasredcross.org/donate/

Just a bit ago I saw a conference given by Prime Minister Minnis of the Bahamas.  In addition to the Bahamian Red Cross, he suggested NEMA (National Emergency Management Agency, Government Of The Bahamas).  I wanted to post links, but they are horribly paragraphs long and it is probably better if you just search what I have here to get there.
