lisa6191 Posted October 2, 2019 #32 Share Posted October 2, 2019 I have no idea why my 5/24 Oasis sailing has prices so much higher than everyone else's! Thrill cabana - 999 Chill Island, Oasis Lagoon or South Beach cabana - 1299 Coco Beach day pass - 69 Coco Beach cabana - 1199 Over water cabana - 1499 Some of those prices are simply ridiculous. nu_cruzer1 Posted October 2, 2019 #33 Share Posted October 2, 2019 For reference, prices for the various Coco Beach club items for my March 2020 Anthem sailing are as follows (the prices below are listed in Canadian dollars): Coco Beach Club Cabana (NOT over the water): $1,594.67 Coco Beach Club (Over the water): $1,993.67 Coco Beach Club pass only: $86.44. Rare rimmit Posted October 2, 2019 #34 Share Posted October 2, 2019 I suspect the differences in price are completely based on number of pax in port. Given the Grandeur holds 1/3 the people of a fully loaded Oasis class there is much less demand, and less people that will pay the exorbitant prices. Quite likely the case as there are two ships scheduled to be in port on the day that I am there (mine plus another ship).
Cutigerlady Posted October 2, 2019 #36 Share Posted October 2, 2019 It showed up for my 9/21/20 Mariner sailing today: Over the water club cabana - $999 club cabana - $699 club day pass - $54.99 chill island cabana - $499 south beach cabana - $499 water park cabana - $299 I just got an email about it as well. Prinny11 Posted October 2, 2019 #37 Share Posted October 2, 2019 Prices as of today for Anthem Feb 2020 sailing. Coco Beach Club $64.99 Coco Beach Cabana $1,199 Over the water Cabana $1,499 Mariner will also be with us that day, so I would assume since there will be so many pax, that is why these prices are as crazy as they are. I should have stated that but I figure d it was implied that the number of people on the island factors into the price in my original post. The Grandeur rarely docks there by itself these days and almost docks with another ship. But since it is so small compared to a voyager or oasis (it is almost half the size of a voyager and 1/3 the size of Oasis) the demand goes down when the Grandeur is there regardless of the other ships with it simply because the Grandeur produces less demand. I have not been to cococay since it fully opened, but prior to the dock it was rare to have two ships at the same time. Now it is rare not to. In all the posts I have seen there has always been two ships so i assumed that was the new standard as RCI needs to milk it’s investment for as much as possible. The bottom line is the whatever size ships are in port at the same time greatly impacts prices.

What's interesting is your sailing is in December and all the advertising has been that this is opening in December, however I just saw an advertisement, showing more specific detailed pics of the infinity pool and over the water cabanas with it stating: Opening January 2020?? Not sure what to make of it........
