UBP name change?

On our last NCL cruise in June of 2017, we had the Ultimate Beverage Package as one of our 2 perks.  We just booked a cruise on the Getaway

for May 2020 and we have the Premium Beverage Package.  What is the difference?  On our past cruise we could get any cocktail/wine/beer up

to $15.  Has that changed?  Thanks!

The upgraded package name is Premium Plus Beverage Package (because that isn't lazy or confusing, smh)

They should have christened it the Super Duper Atomic Premium Plus Beverage Package.  That way there would be no confusion.

Just the name changed, no worries.

There is also a new package that covers more, and it has a different name.

Thanks....and what would the new package cover?  Bottles of wine at dinner?  I'm fine ordering glasses of wine.

One thing to remember is all drinks by the glass are included.  So if you like higher priced scotch they are all included by the glass.  I drank Johnny Walker Blue and Chives Royal Solute 21 and Talisker.  They give a discount on flights or tastings.  Instead of doing that I just ordered a shot of each of the whiskeys in the flight and did my own tasting.  Also some of the higher end wine is included in the PPB.  We drank a fair amount of yellow label champagne.

Too many people were confusing Ultimate and Unlimited with the UBP abbreviation. We know that there have always been certain liquors that had an up charge and were not included in the package. To avoid legal issues the name was changed so that no one can say that the package is unlimited and demand a shot of Johnnie Walker Blue as part of the package.

Legal issues? Now you're just making stuff up. They ran with "Ultimate Beverage Package" for years. It was never "unlimited" -- people made up "unlimited" all on their own.
