If you mean the current "3 for free", this is the current offer: With 3 for FREE, EVERYONE enjoys FREE gratuities^††, FREE stateroom location upgrade^‡, FREE onboard spending money

Location upgrade means any cabin in the category (with some exceptions) is the same price.

^‡FREE Stateroom Location Upgrade applies to booking the stateroom location you wish to sail in for the price of the lowest category within that stateroom type (Interior to Interior, Oceanview to Oceanview, Balcony to Balcony). Upgrade offer excludes select categories, including, but not limited to, premium categories and suites. Offer does not apply to the land portion of a cruisetour.

 

This means that when you look at the fares many of the higher "D" category cabins are priced the same as the lowest "D" fared cabin. Do a mock booking on the Princess web site and you should be able to see this. Some of the "D" cabins, probably the ones ending in a number, like D4, might be excluded.

You could still receive a comp. upgrade or an upsell offer before your cruise, but that upgrade or upsell would have nothing to do with the 3 for free promo.
