sjmbruce Posted September 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2019 I put FTTF in my cart and went to my cart to check out. The purchase page specified check in time as 12:00-1:00. Is this time normal? It just seems a little late for a "faster" program. Being new to Carnival, I'm not sure and am looking for some advice or information. Thanks! TNcruising02 Posted September 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2019 Even though it states that time, you can disregard it. When you purchase Faster to the Fun, the logo should be on your boarding pass once you are able to print it. When you get to the port, you can show your boarding pass and will be able to go through a special priority line to check in. Whenever I have purchased Faster to the Fun, I have arrived at the port between 10:15 and 10:30. After check-in, I wait for my group to be called to board. When boarding goes smoothly, I am usually on the ship before 11:15.
bury me at sea Posted September 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2019 It's a quirk in their programming system. You will choose a time slot when you purchase FTTF. When you do the mandatory on-line check in 90 days prior to your cruise you will AGAIN have to choose a time slot. Then you will ignore both. As long as your boarding pass has the FTTF logo on it, you will be allowed in the terminal and able to check in as soon as the terminal is open for embarking passengers. If boarding has not yet started you will have a designated waiting area. Enjoy!
crzndeb Posted September 18, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2019 You will still have to wait for wedding parties, Diamond and Platinum guests to board before FTTF. Once boarding begins, it goes quickly.
kenb Posted September 18, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2019 I am in a suite plus I purchased FTTF so we could drop off our carry-on. Our boarding pass says "priority". Which boards first and will I be able to go to my cabin even though my boarding pass does not say FTTF? This is our first Carnival cruise. Thanks
evandbob Posted September 18, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2019 Maybe I've been unlucky, but on my last 6 or 7 Carnival cruises, I have not stepped onto a ship before 11:30. I'm Diamond, so I board before the FTTFs. Most of these cruises have been from FLL, and MIA, and 1 from Tampa. Perhaps in one ship smaller ports you might board earlier than 11:30, but I think those days are numbered as well. Of course, those with any priority can enter the terminal as soon as it opens. You will then just wait inside until your designation is called. Wedding guests, Diamonds, and Platinums are the first to board. Then FTTFs, suite guests, and casino guests will follow. Not quite right! "Here's what the program includes: Priority Security, Check-in and Boarding A dedicated security and check-in lane has been set aside for all Priority guests on embarkation day. FTTF guests will board after VIFP Diamond, Platinum and guests traveling in deluxe suite accommodations. Note: Only VIFP Diamond and Platinum guests and guests traveling in deluxe suite accommodations have access to the Captain’s Lounge." Actually Diamond, Platinum and all Suite guests board first as a group, then FTTF and casino guests if they have priority boarding go next! Other ports may board as early as 1030 or so, depending on when the ship is cleared.

When I cruised out of Fort Lauderdale in June, they began boarding FTTF at 10:50. When I cruised out of Port Canaveral earlier this month, they began boarding zone A1 at 11:05. Thanks Did you print your boarding pass after you bought FTTF? It should have the small, round FTTF logo on it. You should be able to board with either suites or FTTF (minutes apart) and your suite should be ready. Happy sailing.
