Parking at Port Canaveral Pier?

Hi

 

Our recent cruises have been out of Bayonne NJ where you pull up, give porters your luggage, park in the garage, then check in.

 

Is the process the same at Port Canaveral?  I assume it will be pretty similar but wanted to double check.

Yes - drop bags (and any passengers who want to get out), park the car and then head to the check-in lines.

Parking at Port Canaveral followed by check-in for my cruise was easy and as hassle free as it could have been.

I believe I have read something about an access fee in the past.  Does this still exist?

If so, does the $7 or so I am seeing from area hotels on Uber/Lyft include the access fee, or is that fee in additional to their estimates?

 

Also, is my understanding correct that if you park at the port itself, for a seven day cruise you are actually charged for eight days?

There are fees but those should be included in the quote - you can look at the cost breakdown on the rideshare up to see everything.

 

You pay per day, not per night - so 8 days yes for a 7 night cruise.
