Ronjoni Posted September 29, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2019 Not sure where to post... Does anyone know if the San Juan Free Trolley is up & running? Thanks, Ronjoni
CaptFantastic Posted October 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2019 I was there in November and it was running but it didn't seem very often. I only saw the actual trolley once.....as it was pulling away from me. I was there for 2 days. It might be better now, but it may be something you don't want to rely on

Anyislandwilldo Posted October 2, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2019 Someone posted in our roll call that the trolley was out. Does anyone have any recent information on the trolley?

Not running. San Juan has a few small golf carts occasionally going by to take people on route. Really not a practical way to get around OSJ right now. If you can’t walk, consider a Taxi or Uber.

thewynn Posted November 12, 2019 #7 Share Posted November 12, 2019 Back to the question at hand, does anyone know if the trolley's are running?

There have been no first hand reports of the trolleys running in recent months so I have to assume nothing has changed since the last first hand report saying that they are not.
Stinger-pr Posted November 13, 2019 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2019 As of today, I was told they are still not running.

Lisa1 Posted December 3, 2019 #11 Share Posted December 3, 2019 I'll be in San Juan with my parents in a few weeks, and my dad really wants to see El Morro. They are fairly mobile, but walking to El Morro and back is probably a bit much for them. Sounds like the free trolley won't be an option, so what's plan B? Taxi (or Uber)? Is there a taxi stand near the pier or do you just have to go to the street and wave one down? (I'm not a city girl, so I'm not familiar with taxi hailing tactics!) What is the expected cost of a taxi from the pier to El Morro? (I don't want to get overcharged!) Thanks for any advice you can give!
