DoulaAnn Posted September 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2019 Although we've cruised with Oceania several times, we are doing our first B2B next year. My question is: on the day one cruise ends and the next one (the one we stay on for) begins, when must we be off and do we have to check in again for the next cruise? I think I remember reading that we can leave our luggage in our room and won't switch rooms, but I read a post that made me believe we had to be off the ship, so just checking on that process. Is there anything else I need to know about a B2B? Ann
Mura Posted September 30, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2019 I think it depends on the port in question. When we had a B2b last year that ended/started in Civitavecchia we did NOT have to leave the ship. B2B-ers were able to have a private lunch in the GDR if they wished. We did not have to re-register and our original room key continued to work. But I have seen from comments here that in some ports you DO have to leave the ship for at least a little while, and perhaps check in again. If you indicate where this port is on your B2B, someone may be able to answer more definitively. Mura
Rare LHT28 Posted September 30, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2019 If turnaround day is in a US port then you have to disembark for a short time ..Oceania will escort you out one door & lead you back to the entrance to the terminal where you can wait until you can board the ship usually about 1 hr or you can go off site seeing Some other ports may require you to disembark you belongings can stay in the cabin unless you have to switch cabin In any case Oceania will send instructions a day or so before the end of the 1st cruise

We plan to do an independent shore excursion that day, so shouldn't be an issue, as long as we can disembark at a reasonable hour. Thanks for your help, as well as yours LHT28. You probably can get off with the disembarking pax We have been to ports that we could just stay onboard but chose to go explore after breakfast rush 😉

Rare pinotlover Posted September 30, 2019 #9 Share Posted September 30, 2019 DoulaAnn; Not sure how long ago you booked the cruise. Does Oceania still regard it as a B2B, or have the two segments been joined to make a single grand cruise?

I know you did not ask me specifically, but in the interest of gathering more data points on this whole B2B issue, I have a B2B in January 2020 that I booked in June 2019. It is still two segments.
