Just returned from Silver Spirit

We have just returned from 3 weeks on board The Spirit and am pleased to Report that all aspects of the Ship appear to be working well. We had one of the 'Walk In Shower ' Suites on Deck 7 and found it to be well appointed with a spacious Bathroom. Our Butler was superb in that we had to ask for nothing and she seemed to be able to anticipate our requirements well, even to the extent of taking a Pair of Shoes to the Cobbler to fix a small issue without us mentioning it.

 

The Food, Wine and Service in all Restaurants was excellent ( Atlantide still a little slow on Formal Nights when everyone appears at the same time ). La Terazza remains our favourite, with a Menu that changes slightly every 4 days - Food throughout the Ship was Hot when appropriate, which has not always been the case.  Sergio is currently the Maitre D, but Antonio returns in a few weeks. The Arts Cafe remains a favourite Place and such a great Innovation.

 

We had a good mix of Guests for the first 14 days but the atmosphere changed significantly for the last 7 days due to the different nature of 7 Day Cruises - very much more emphasis by the Guests on getting ' Value for Money ' in the Bars etc. The usual Dress Code interpretations were also evident but the Ship seems to have a much greater level of tolerance now in The Bars but maintains the Dress Code in the Restaurants. There were only a handful of children who were all very well behaved.

 

All in all we had another wonderful Cruise with the Staff making the difference so often - they are unfailingly smiley and helpful. We are looking forward to returning to The Spirit in 2020

Pleased you had an enjoyable cruise on the Spirit.Your report covers all the areas that concern us as you know from our enjoyable cruises over the years in your company.Pleased you only encountered a handful of kids rather than a pool full!!Sorry you had to encounter the noisy drinkers on the seven day booze up cruise but trust the first 14 days made up for that.Pleased to hear the food was excellent and served hot when hot food ordered which is an improvement on our last Wind cruise where a number of main courses were returned to sender for warming up of cold plates and food which should have been hot on delivery.I suspect the dress code compliance was down to the good old fashioned Maitre d’ Sergio and Antonio will no doubt continue when he boards.Always enjoy your reviews thanks very much!
