G.M.T. Posted October 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2019 The Costa Pacifica was on it's way from Madeira to Malaga, when shortly before the Straits of Gibraltar a guest was reported going overboard. The Pacifica started a search for the missing passenger. Sadly, because of a medical emergency the search had to be stopped. https://www.schiffe-und-kreuzfahrten.de/news/costa-pacifica-mann-ueber-bord/189536/

tenpin Posted October 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2019 Just of the Pacifica last week saw several people climbing onto the rails on deck 11, including a small child, all while we were eating our meals in the club dining room, also two passengers moved the deck chairs from aft & were laying right across the deck making anyone walking by squeeze round them very close to the rail. Saw the same couple four times during the cruise do the same thing, but also they were very 'shall we say loving' which put me off lunch.
BrianCruiser Posted October 13, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 13, 2019 (edited) And Costa Luminosa had a crew medivac off Greece last week. With man overboard its generally suicide. Depression is huge amongst the crew on all ships not only Costa. But I think the Pacifica was an elderly passenger from reports I've seen. G.M.T. Posted October 15, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted October 15, 2019 Just read a report that the body of the person that went overboard was been recovered from the Bay of Cadiz. It was a 75 y.o. female passenger.
