Late flight (7:00 pm) out of Ft. Lauderdale after cruise.

What options are there for hanging out at a resort near restaurants and beach without paying too much and storing suitcases? We aren’t interested in Cruise options and would like to just go somewhere and hang out until time to go to airport.

Any hotel will hold your bags for $5, if you want to walk the beach, get something to eat, ect.

www.resortpass.com is one source for resorts and hotels offering passes to their pool, spa and beach facilites.  Tip them to watch your bags while you relax and swim until it is time to clean up and head to the airport.

Very timely question, as we  have a 9PM flight out of FLL in three weeks. I'm going to check whether the Hilton Marina or the Renaissance will hold out bags for a nominal fee. Either of them is a short walk from our Terminal 2, and the Hilton is right at a Water Taxi stop.

The other website to checkout is dayuse dot com.  You'll have use of the room for a specific time period during the day.  For instance, on 11/16, the Element (which is within walking distance of Las Olas) has a rate of $109 and the room is available from 10-5, 12-7 or 4pm-10pm.   The Courtyard, which is 1 street away from the beach, has a rate of $99 for a room from 10-4pm for that same day.  There are less expensive options as well if you don't care too much about location.  We've done this once before and had good results and a hassle-free experience.

WOW...things have changed over the years!  I guess I haven't sailed out of Port Everglades in a long, long time and

this post is wonderfully informative.  I have a flight leaving late too and didn't want to sit in the airport all day.

In my opinion, this is awesome! A room for the day at a reasonable price

We are staying at Rodeway Inn for $69.00 + tax = $79.00 for a room with full use of the facilities from 10-6.  Includes pickup at the port and airport transfer.  Not near the beach though.

I have stayed at the Rodeway Inn a  couple of times with good results, however you will need to taxi/Uber if you want go anywhere.

Most cruiselines (excluding NCL) have a luggage valet type service where they will transport your bags and check them in for your flight.  The cost for this is generally $25 per person.  You sign up on the ship.  At least this way you would not have to carry your bags around.

If you are in Miami, there is the Luggage Lounge.  $10/checked bag.

Luggage Lounge is in Miami Beach, not Miami. Two different cities.
