CruisinTeacher4 Posted October 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2019 So we are only in port 7-2 and this is our first visit there. I wanted to go to Maya Chan but I doubt we have the time for that. Any ideas of fun things to do so early and short? No ruins, please. Thanks in advance! Greenhopster Posted October 29, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2019 Go visit Maya Chan. If you get off ship right away, you can be on the beach by 8. Enjoy 3 hours then come back to the port village for a look around and trinkets.

Rare crewsweeper Posted October 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2019 Would be cheaper to just grab the tram to Mahahual and go to Tropicante. Maybe grab a coffee and pastry at Karlitas before hitting Tropicante.
EatonDoolittle Posted October 30, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 30, 2019 Another vote for Maya Chan, if that’s what you want to do. On my last visit with them , I had the same port hours. No problem getting back in time, they are used to it. It actually worked out nicely, because a Royal Caribbean ship full of spring breakers arrived in port a few hours after us, a group of them made their way to MC , started pounding drinks, and quickly spoiled the peaceful serenity of the place. The “early shift” was more than ready to leave.

Rare crewsweeper Posted January 23, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 23, 2020 Dang. Supposedly a new bakery around somewhere according to the manager at El Caballo Blanco. Can't find anything on it though.
dotwarner Posted February 11, 2020 #9 Share Posted February 11, 2020 I stayed in the port and visited the aviary. It was really fun.
