artvlay Posted October 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2019 How do you determine if the onboard credit that you receive can be converted to cash. At times I have been told that if you don't use it while onboard, you lose it. Other times we were able to get the cash from guest services or the casino. Thanks
cb at sea Posted October 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2019 If it's from the cruise line, it's not "refundable" as cash...use it or lose it. If it's from a TA or some promotion (credit card, etc..) you should be able to get any remaining cash.

Thanks You should be able to go to the casino cashier and ask for a cash advance to play live games. Do not mention OBC. They will charge a 5% fee for this. No specific charge is allocated to be debited from OBC. All the charges are totaled and all the OBC deducted from the total. It's all automatic. Lonedreamer Posted October 28, 2019 #6 Share Posted October 28, 2019 Would someone be able to confirm whether or not you can use OBC on your account to cover gratuities (if they are added to your on board account during the cruise) Thank you Chris

Thanks If one has a combination of OBC from the cruise line (non-refundable) and OBC from TA and RCL Visa credit card (refundable), will the cruise line use the non-refundable OBC first for charges to the on-board account?
