7, 8 or in some cases longer like the 14 day one I am on right now.

So how is it?  Casino packed?  Getting nice treats?  Have the contests (other than for the big prizes) been open to all players?

While I enjoyed my recent Premier cruise (13 nights Panama Canal crossing on the Miracle), I probably will not book another Premier unless it is an itinerary I really want to cruise.  The perks were nice, but very few true benefits for being part of the Premier group.  There was a very nice welcome cocktail party and a slot tournament on the last sea day for Premiers who reached at least 2,000 points, but all other drawings were open to all.

We have two elite cruises coming up, and I am hoping those feel more special.  If not, I will have Cheers and just spend less time and money in the casino.

The Premier's have definitely been down graded, hardly anything going on in the casino.  Just got off an Ultra and it was better than the Premier. Casino was packed. They had a cocktail party where everyone invited got their gift.  You could exchange your gift for free play. They did Fireball three times, dodge the bull twice, matilda the cash cow once, shoot to win three times, two free cruise drawings for Mardi Gras and the usual slot tournament on the last day.  I like the Special Edition Premier sailings the best.  They have the most giveaways and they only invite 40 - 50 people.  Your odds of being called are a lot greater.

I have a Special Edition Premier Offer, free balcony, $300 in Fun Play, + Free Drinks on us (book between Nov 14/19- Dec 26/19)

Ultra Cruise, $ 1,000 in Fun play, + Free Drinks on us ( I can book between Nov 7-Jan 7/ 2020)

Have been on several Premier. Never been on Special Edition or Ultra. Which one is a better deal??

Thanks in advance.

We just got off an Ultra and we didn't feel it was worth it at all. The drawings and games paid out $100-$200 and it seemed the majority of people received the $300 cash prize during the big gift giveaway.

Most people on an Ultra are big spenders, so $300 lasts about 25 minutes. We also were on a Premiere in Feb and the gifts were much better! On this Ultra, we received 2 cheap fedora hats, 2 pairs of plastic sunglasses, a deck of cards, a chocolate bar, and the one nice gift was a plush beach towel.

We did get 2 comped meals at a specialty restaurant with wine, but we get that on every cruise. My husband received a free suite bounceback and I received a free interior. We will use those instead of booking an Ultra in the future. I would be willing to give an Elite a try if we receive invites.

I checked out the Ultra offerings and decided to pass.  Free interior, $500 fun play and free drinks for two in the casino are simply not worth it to me.  I have two Elites booked for next year, and will see how those go.  For those, I have a spa balcony on the Horizon and a suite on the Mardi Gras, so I am somewhat offended they are now sending me free interiors and this is after getting 38,000 points on my recent 13 night Premier cruise.

the cost is way higher for the ultras than the premier and getaways cruises.  Do they think we don't know they are building their cost of the ultra gift into that?  not that stupid.  also, now that they don't display all the gifts on your given day/time, who knows how many of each gift there really are, could be mostly $300 cash which is the minimum.
