Bobbingbob Posted November 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Booked on Esmerelda in mid Jan and hope it will not be cancelled! Does anyone know if you can use your OBC to pay for services added to your basket in My Costa, please? I see that when you put items in your basket in My Costa, it says to confirm and then you will pay onboard so will this just be part of the usual bill at the end of the cruise when your OBC is deducted from what you owe? Thanks in advance. Bob

G.M.T. Posted November 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Has Costa renamed the Smeralda?
tenpin Posted November 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Any OBC can be used to pay final account, they are taken off automatically. If you are in any doubt, put them into a slot machine in the Casino then cash out at teller last night for the cash.
Bobbingbob Posted November 5, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Thanks all. Tenpin, like your advice , good thinking! G.M. T. Ha! Just making sure someone is paying attention here as these boards can be pretty quiet. Just my typo. Stadleter, also on 13/01 from Barcelona if she sails. The answer is no, you can also charge credit to your cabin (on-board account) if you want to keep your euro's. (dollars)
Bobbingbob Posted November 9, 2019 Author #9 Share Posted November 9, 2019 How do you charge credit to your cabin, please, Tenpin? Sorry to be dim but never done it before. I always register a credit card ASAP once onboard as it can be a nuisance if you forget to do this. Rianna, hope new Smeralda won’t be smelly! I have posted separately asking anyone who hears about Smelly’s launch and cruise programme going forward to kindly let us all know. Looks as if first cruise (maiden voyage?) will be 21 December if there are no further delays. Cautiously looking forward to mid Jan cruise. tenpin Posted November 9, 2019 #10 Share Posted November 9, 2019 Hi Bob, When you sit at a slot machine you put cruise card into slot shown (when green) follow instruction's & personal code. You then get a choice of 'Charge Room', Take out total' if played before or any fixed amount you have on card. When you finish playing any remaining credits are put on your card, which can be cashed out at desk or used next time. Do remember to cash in last night of cruise or you will lose any remaining credit. You can also do this at most table games on some ships.
