Drinks and More package

Yesterday I received an offer to upgrade my drink package to the "Drinks and More".  Looks like a fair deal but as I read it there is nothing that says the benefits are per person or per cabin.  While I bought it for my wife and myself, I'm not sure if each of us gets the benefits - such as $50 casino credit each, two bottles of wine, etc.  Anyone know?

I called last night and was told each person gets the $50 casino offer and two bottles of wine and both people in the cabin must buy to get your room stocked daily. So two bottles of wine, $100 casino play and your room stocked all for $126 dollars is a no brainer. Took a long time last night to find someone to confirm the offer. They kept telling me that offer expired in September. I called 20 minutes after getting the email, so the phone reps were not aware of the offer until I forward the email to him. I did receive a confirmation after I purchased. So I’m printing my receipt and bringing with.

Thanks, Pupela -  I just called as well and got the same run down. A little more details:

1) $50 each casino credit needs to be chosen either as slot play or table play. The whole credit needs to be used in a single seating and can’t be cashed out basically unless you are up (basically you keep the profits).

2) Two bottles of wine per person. Need to go to the beverage concierge on embarkation day to choose the wine.

If you expect to play in the casino at any point on the cruise this seems like a great value proposition.

How soon before your cruise did you receive this offer and did you have the classic or premium package at the time of the offer?  My husband and I currently have the Premium so I called Celebrity to see if we could update to the plus package and was told that I already had a package and could not upgrade.  So now I am wondering if Celebrity was getting a lot of complaints to that.

We met a couple on the ship this week who had upgraded to the package.  I specifically ask what wines they had to chose from; they said no options they each were given 1 bottle of red & 1 white.  The basic wines that the ship pours at receptions.

We recently upgraded to this package for our October 26 Summit sailing. Apparently this upgrade is only being offered for 2019 sailings so far. We had the classic as a perk and had upgraded to Premium sometime ago.  When you board your cards need to be reprinted to say PALL PLUS. Inform your room steward you both have the Premium Plus so they will restock mini bar. The 4 bottles are low end. One white and one red per person. We managed to switch to white. We didn’t end up doing the wine tasting. For casino credits see cashier in casino and you will get instructions. I think it was well worth the upgrade cost and we enjoyed the mini bar and casino credits the most.

This was in the thread below:

It is a shorter list than the usual Celebrity mini bar.

This thread has a lot of info (used to be called Premium Plus package):

BTW, the price may be going up soon. I found this on a website - it may be a flyer for future cruises:

I am considering adding this to a couple of future cruises. Does anyone have experience of this package now? Can you confirm that the mini bar is fully stocked with a range of miniature spirits as the image on this and other boards shows only Vodka! We only drink Gin can we swap to that. Is any Brandy included? Are there mixes in the mini bar?

Also is anyone able to confirm which wine tasting experience is included?

Thanks

Both passengers must purchase the package in order to have the mini bar included.  We have not purchased it but from what I have been told by friends who did & what I have read posted, the mini bar had only a set  number & brand of items stocked & they were not able to substitute.  The included bottles of wine are 1 white & 1 red and are the same wines they pour at free events (not high quality).

It makes sense on short cruises for some who have the beverage package as a booking perk and  frequent the casino as the casino credit offsets much of the cost to upgrade to Drinks & More.

Hi y'all, Will they restock the minibar for a solo traveler, as long as there is no extra passenger in the room who hasn't purchased the package?  it looks like the price has gone up since this thread started, but it might be worth it with casino credits and minibar.

I'm bumping this post to see if anyone is able to answer this now. I just booked a solo cruise for next February and am considering this package depending on what the mini bar has for a solo traveler. Looking forward to trying out Celebrity! I've only sailed Carnival and NCL before.

We had had it last summer on Silhouette - was good value if your already had the premium package  — was nice to get mini fridge stocked with soft drinks and a few beers… kinda paid for itself with the included casino credit.  Sadly, I believe they retired this package sometime in the past year as we tried to book it recently for our upcoming cruise on Reflection next week but were told no longer available when we phoned Celebrity.

They've discontinued this package, so you're out of luck for it.  The bit of good news is that there weren't too many folks that liked it.

For discontinued, they sure have made it easy to upgrade to it on my cruise planner. But your second hand review makes it easy to ignore it! Thanks

Oh, wow.  That's interesting.  I do not have the Drinks & More option on the cruise planner for our upcoming bookings.  The stateroom bar setup is there, but not Drinks & More.

And, yeah, the only folks that found it worth much were the ones on cruises short enough that the casino credit pretty much paid for the package.  In other words, the ones who found it worth it were getting it essentially for free.  Someone in Miami really blew it on that front.
