When do you become an O club member?

I am asking at what point do you become an “O” club member? After you have booked and paid or after your cruise is completed.?Apparently if you are a member and purchase a beverage package before you sail you receive a discount.

But I do not believe  for the 1st cruise you get a discount on the packages until you are Silver

momullr - Sorry to disappoint 😞 ... but the 10% beverage package discount does not apply until you reach the "Gold" level (on your 10th cruise credit). After completing your first cruise you will become a "Blue" level member of the Oceania CLub.

Maurice   Gold level is 15 cruises 😉

Correct ... I should have said "Silver" that's where the 10% discount kicks in.
