Anyone used Turkish Airlines

Looking to book Edinburgh to Dubai. TA is coming up £60 cheaper and has a bigger luggage allowance.

Any reviews appreciated

We flew coach class from Istanbul to Boston.  Seemed to me about like Delta as far as service and aircraft.  They are supposed to have a very good international business class.

We have flown on Turkish Airlines several times.  International and domestic.  Never an issue.  Always had newer equip. and good service.  Last time was a long flight....CapeTown SA to Rome.   Everything was fine.

We flew Turkish Airlines from LAX to Istanbul, and then on to Hurghada, Egypt.  Very nice airline, I recommend them.

Edinburgh to Dubai is looking good. Both legs stop in Istanbul so I might try and get into the city for a bit

There are often some stopover programs at Istanbul where you can get a free stopover with no increase in fare.  Also, if you have longer connections, either tours and/or hotel stays.

 

Check both the Turkish and Istanbul airport websites for details on what is currently on offer.

We flew from IAH to BCN roundtrip in 2018. We had had to call their customer service online a few times before the trip and the service was bad, really bad. The representatives were rude. However, the service at check in and during the flight was terrific. Food was good and you can select your choice of meal prior to your flight. A care package with toothbrush n toothpaste, socks, slippers, eye-mash....was a nice touch. Seat was pretty comfortable for economy.  We’d fly with them again anytime.
