Shore excursion price drop - easy to rebook online?

Hi,

 

  I have a couple of questions about shore excursions booked in the celebrity cruise planner. If we have booked some shore excursions and the price drops before our cruise, is it easy to cancel our excursion bookings and re-book with the modified price online?

 

Secondly, if the excursion in question is sold out - would I be able to cancel and availability show back up online immediately where I could re-book or does celebrity have a wait list?

Best bet is to call Celebrity rather than try to do it online, especially with the one that is sold out.   I honestly have no idea what their policy is though in terms of rebooking at a lower price.

It is best to call in to Celebrity to cancel and re-book shore excursions if the price drops.  The phone agent will be able to tell you if there are enough slots open on the excursion to book at the lower rate.  They can then grab those spots for you and then cancel and refund your original ones.  I would not risk cancelling and then trying to re-book on your own via the website.  I just did this a few months ago when one of our excursions went on sale and the agent was very helpful.

Hi. I have had no problem canceling excursions online and then re-booking them online at the lower price.
As far as sold out excursions are concerned, I would not cancel something that was sold out. I’m not sure how the price goes down if it’s sold out.

Sometimes flash sales encompass every excursion and I was thinking that if I cancelled an excursion (that was currently sold out) that my 2 slots would show back up as inventory under the new flash promo price. It probably is risky though and best to call celebrity to see if that is even possible. Thanks everyone.

On our upcoming cruises only a few excursions are discounted.  Most excursions are the same or higher price than 6 weeks ago.

I called and re-booked our excursions.  I didn't want to risk trying to re-book on my own on the website.  Saved $200.00!  Nice!
