Lost and Found / Chargerback

I recently cruised on Eurodam and forgot my CPAP medical device in my stateroom.  HAL  found it and gave it to third party clearing house Chargerback.  They charged me $100 to ship it but they never gave it to FedEx for actual shipping.  Its been several weeks now.  All attempts to contact Chargerback have failed.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get Chargerback to respond.  Would HAL get involved?

Yikes, several WEEKS? I would have contacted HAL the day FedEx was due to deliver your device and didn't show. What have you been using in the meantime?

Chargerback should replace it at no additional charge. You can get a brand new device out of the deal! 
I hope this was a travel size CPAP, and you have a full size one to use at home.

Agree with Ruth.  What a disaster!  Hope you were not medically affected by not having a back-up unit at home.

HAL gave it to a third party, then HAL are ultimately responsible.  I would let HAL chase it for you.

Write them a nice email and explain the situation including how you have failed in your attempts to contact Chargerback, and that Chargerback were selected by HAL to ship the device back to you, therefore you would suggest that it is their responsibility to contact Chargerback.

 

Who did you pay the $100 to?  HAL or Chargerback?

i would contsct both hal and chargerback and fed ex if you had a tracking number.

then i would ask my credit card company to reverse the charge.

once i received the cpap i would cancel the chargeback.

i have no patience for crap like that.
