yankees111 Posted December 21, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2019 Shows are scheduled every night and I would try every bar on the ship!

bonvoyagie Posted December 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 22, 2019 Depending on the itinerary you may not want or need to try out every bar on ship. We had lots of early port days. BTW I agree that most of the shows and bars on the Jewel class ships are good.

Topdog52 Posted December 30, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted December 30, 2019 Going to New England and Canada in May on the Pearl. Any guesses on how crowded the Pearl will be at that time of the year. I am hoping May will b off season and the ship will be a little less crowded.

Prime Spring Break season) and never felt overly crowded. That seems to be one of the best things about this size of ship. It's just not crowded. Caveat that if you want to eat somewhere limited, you might need to wait. Asian restaurant you'll want to get there a few minutes before they open or you might be waiting for the second seating for example. I'm sure those who I saw in line for the 45 minutes we were eating felt a bit crowded, for example. But for the most part it's not bad at all. It is an off time to go and it will still be very cool in May. May is early spring in Northern New England.

Falckon Posted January 1, 2020 #12 Share Posted January 1, 2020 On the Pearl, we enjoyed the Sugarcane Mojito Bar on deck 13, in the Moderno restaurant which is where they serve breakfast and lunch for the Haven guests. Since it was a bit out of the way, we could always get a seat and the service was similar to the Haven lounge on other ships.
JoLoca2208 Posted January 2, 2020 #13 Share Posted January 2, 2020 We are going on Pearl in March 20 out of Miami, 15th to 22nd so that will include St. Patrick's Day. Can anyone tell me if this is during spring break season in the US (I live in Europe)? We have sailed twice during this time out of NY and the ship never felt extra crowded. dexddd Posted January 2, 2020 #14 Share Posted January 2, 2020 Yes,this is spring break in US. We typically sail during this time. Yes, more kids than off seasons but hit or miss how crowded by kids and or spring breakers.

Topdog52 Posted January 2, 2020 Author #18 Share Posted January 2, 2020 I hope not. We lucked out last year in Alaska about this time it was around 70 degrees. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we luck out again.

Does the Pearl have one night that the Garden Cafe has a sea food smorgasbord??

Unless things have changed not really. The last time we were on her they advertised some type of lobster dish but it was with noodles in a cream sauce. Usually there is fried fish too. Topdog52 Posted January 3, 2020 Author #22 Share Posted January 3, 2020 Thank You. We were on the Bliss last year and they had a seafood buffet the second night we were there.

NCL has started offering themed nights in the buffet; I have seen it on multiple ships in 2019. I would expect that the Pearl follows this trend. It just means things are available not that other options are not available. You'll also have two main dining rooms to choose from so the buffet isn't your only option. Topdog52 Posted January 4, 2020 Author #24 Share Posted January 4, 2020 Besides the theater and casino does the Pearl have any other things going on? Such as a comedy show perhaps in a smaller theater or room.

In my experience, on my last 3 cruises, the comedian will do a special set (usually more adult themed), in a smaller venue such as the Spinnaker Lounge, one evening during the sailing.
