Aurora at City terminal?

Apparently Aurora left yesterday from City terminal. 

Unsure of the reasons, but could this be the future once Iona(s) are onboard? 

I thought this was unlikely due to RCI paying for the terminal, but I suppose it is just business as other lines use it frequently.

Could it be that delays to other ships arriving at / leaving from the terminal Aurora was due to use meant that they had to make a late switch? Or was it always planned for her to use City terminal?

You are probably right, but didn't think many others were in at the same time.

Aurora left City Terminal last Thursday (19th). Was due back to Mayflower but changed to City. Bulk Carrier @ Mayflower Berth.

I wonder how they do parking when they use City terminal?

Thought Aurora left on the 21st for her Christmas cruise. Did she have to come back to Southampton for any reason?

We left from City Terminal in November on QM2 so it is used by both P&O and Cunard when circumstances dictate.

She left on the 19th for a 2 day cruise to Brugge, then off for Xmas. 

Seems like she did City terminal on both.

Balmoral remained in port for part of yesterday because of bad weather for the route ahead, so may have been in Aurora's berth - but not sure about that.

Mayflower has a temporary problem with the airbridge. That is all.

Temporary? We had this problem a month ago and had to board at ground level.

Yes, it’s a broken airbridge according to CPS.  We had to climb up to board her on the 9th, then we returned to City on the 19th, where CPS told me why!

 

We frequently have airbridge issues at Mayflower... maybe it’ll finally be fixed this time

There was still an Airbridge problem when we boarded QV on the 20th and they still had problems on the 23rd when we disembarked, we are due to board Arcadia on Sunday 29th from the Mayflower, as yet we haven't had any communication if that is still the case.
