stunned Posted December 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2019 We will be cruising out of Tampa. Can anyone suggest a hotel preferably with airport and cruiseport shuttles, but not vital. Would like one within walking distance to restaurants and possibly stores under $200.00 / night. thanks.
JohninDC Posted December 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2019 Look at hotels in the Rocky Point area (Chase Suites, Hilton, etc.). Most offer both airport and port shuttles. Or look at hotels in the. Westshore area near the airport. Embassy Suites is near dining and shopping options - Uber to the port will be under $
smalltimecruiser100 Posted December 27, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2019 (edited) I recommend Hilton Downtown Tampa and Blue One charges 5 p/p o/w to port.Port only about 1 mile away. Good 211 Restaurant on premise but if not, only a block from Free TECO streetcar to Ybor City. Also Hampton Inn & Suites Ybor City..Free shuttle service service within 2 miles of hotel which includes cruise terminals & Restaurants. Room for four with breakfast $135 including tax. Water view suite for four, $160 all in.

ducklite Posted December 31, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 31, 2019 We meet friends for dinner every other month in Tampa and because wine is involved, we spend the night. Typically we stay at either the Embassy Suites Westshore or the Hampton Inn Westshore. Both offer a free shuttle to local restaurants (there are a number within walking distance of both). The Hampton offers a cruise package , but check because it could be less expensive to use their shuttle for the airport and just Uber to the Port. The Embassy doesn't offer transportation to the port, but does to the airport. Both are clean and comfortable, and our only gripe is that there isn't enough seating in the breakfast area at either of them, and if you want something from the grill in the morning at the Embassy, they are ridiculously slow. To be honest, for a one night stay we prefer the Hampton.
