Bingotommy Posted December 31, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2019 Does anyone know how you accumulate points to qualify for free drinks in the casino. Does it go by how much money you put in the slots or by how much you win?
Bases5 Posted December 31, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2019 You need 1,500 points on a 7 day cruise 1,000 points on 5 or less day cruise. You get 1 point for every $2.50 put in the machine. Table game is anybody's guess but the points don't combine witch don't combine.
Nic6318 Posted December 31, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2019 Hi To qualify you actually need to play. Just putting money in the machine won't do it. The good news is that the machine doesn't care if you win or lose. So, you can get to your goal even if you are winning, you just need to keep playing. The more you play, as well as the more you are betting, the sooner you will get there.
ParrotRob Posted December 31, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2019 $3750 of slot play on a 7 day cruise. This is why I think it's funny when people in the cheers threads say they won't buy cheers because they get DOU for "free".

But if you're really lucky it is free - or better - the casino is paying you. Heavy sigh. I wish I was that lucky. All my casino perks are costly - but fun. So. Yeah. What the heck. Unlike land-based casinos, there's nobody to regulate them (e.g. The Nevada gaming commission). There's also no competition. Those slots can be as tight as they want them to be. Vista in 2018. I spent maybe $200 in the casino. Won maybe $60 but gave it all back. Spent less than 2hrs total in there. I received DOU promo recently. That’s what it takes to earn DOU on a current cruise where you didn’t get one during booking. There is no figuring out who and what deal they will send you to book another cruise. zorky12 Posted January 1, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 1, 2020 Oh I got it. I misunderstood the question . I thought the OP was asking how to get it offered.

Earning the DOU card is referring to being on a cruise that you were not granted it automatically

What you are showing are two different offers. The first is specifically the invitation to book one of the "Premier" cruises and one of the perks that you would be receiving is the DOU card immediately. You don't have to "earn" it at all. You have to contact them, in your case before Dec.19th. and they will tell you which cruises you can get the promotion on (it isn't all cruises). If you do a search on the Carnival threads there is an "everything about premier cruise offers" thread that would explain fully. If you didn't call and book with that promotion, you may not get another chance. It's uncertain how the casino group determines who would get this type of offer for people who aren't bigger gamblers. The bottom two sections where it says Dealer's Choice and Drinks On Us are the more common casino offer. With this offer you don't get DOU. If you notice it says "once you qualify". That's the 1500 points. The actual offer where it says "up to $450 off" with rate code ""P1R" is typically a modest discount on what would be available to everyone. To be certain, just do a mock booking. Once with your VIFP number and then again once without.

We traveled to Alaska this past summer with a friend who had never sailed on Carnival before. He received a bounce-back offer that included the DUO. He only spent about $100 in the casino so I am not sure how or what his offer was based on, but certainly not the amount of $$'s he spent in the casino. klfrodo Posted January 1, 2020 #13 Share Posted January 1, 2020 SMH Some people don't read, or some people have reading comprehension issues. ParrotRob is 100% correct in answering the OP's question in how the OP asked the question.
