Hyatt Place - Plantation (FLL)

This hotel is on my top 3 list for our pre-cruise hotel (Embassy and Hampton are the others). Availability for our Feb 21 2021 cruise opens mid January from what I have researched.  We need space for 5 in a room (4 adults, 1 child) and would like something close to shopping/dining. It appears to be about a 10-minute to walk malls, etc.  Is the area safe at night?

Any reasons why we shouldn't stay at this hotel?

Safe at night and located next to a ton of shopping and good restaurants.  No reason to avoid unless you didn't like the location.  But it's still a quick ride to Port Everglades from Plantation.

Sorry, just seeing this now.

 

Plantation location is about half the price of your recommendation.
