Linking two reservations at the time of booking

I am going to be booking a cruise soon with two staterooms, one for my family and one for MIL and her Aunt.  I want to be able to have access to their reservation. If I book the cruise on the RCCL website (which is much quicker than on the phone) do I have to call to link the two to get access? Or should I just call and make the bookings over the phone since I would have to call anyways...?

They don’t need to be linked for you to have access. All you need is the last name, reservation number, ship and sail date.

You will have to call (twice 🙄) to link dining though. Used to be able to do that online but no more. Annoying that I cannot eat dinner with friends/family but I can link charging privileges to their cards.

If you are not booking thru a TA, save yourself a headache and book directly with a RCCL Certified Vacation Planner 800-859-7225.  I booked 5 cabins on Harmony for November 2019 and linked and had access to all 5 bookings.  I booked a cruise on line a month or so ago and then had to rebook when I called the CVP at Celebrity.  Happy Sailing.
