Medallion vs non medallion web site/app

I was recently on a non medallion cruise. There was a website that gave activities and account info.

On a medallion cruise does an app replace that, duplicate it, or just have additional features such as ordering drinks?

All those features are on the latest release of Medallion Class app.  Just look different is all.

The new medallion apps provide info of what's going on In a strange/different format.

On my last medallion cruise I bought the unlimited pkg.  I opened up Chrome and typed in "crown.primcess.com" it brought up the older Princess at sea app and I could read the patter a lot better AND looking at your account and ordering breakfast was still there too.

I used my medallion apps and also the older version at times

I assume the non Medallion cruise you did you accessed princess@sea. The recent Medallion cruise we did had an intranet site that was almost identical and instructions how to set it up are in your cabin. It took less than a minute. From memory it did not have the additional features you refer to. I think you use the App for that - princess@sea and the newer version are not Apps.
