dg33 Posted January 12, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Can we bring our own electric kettles to heat water for tea? The only time I’ve seen them provided in the rooms was a Norwegian fjord Cruise.

Some have reported being able to secure a kettle on other sailings (they evidently have a very limited supply on other ships) but others have reported that they weren't able to get one. If you want a kettle in your room in the first instance ask your room attendant. If they say they cannot get you one worth a second request at guest services. We have requested one in our suite each cruise and never been refused but obviously we don’t know if that has been possible because we are in a suite - or they have noticed we are British and see it as a cultural need... If you can’t access one you can still order tea free of charge on room service, collect from Oceanview or buy/use drinks package in Cafe el bachio.... dg33 Posted January 12, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Thank you for the quick replies! I will ask as soon as we get on. If not, I know where I can get some😃
Rare cruisestitch Posted January 12, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Kettles are standard issue when sailing out of SouthHampton. You can ask for one on other itineraries but there’s no guarantee you will get one. Do not bring your own, as they are forbidden.
