Crusevettegs Posted January 20, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2020 Was wondering if there’s much of a difference in a balcony and a junior suite. The cabin I have right now is in a good location close to an elevator. is it worth the change ? Traveling by my self. what’s the advantages and disadvantages. Thanks all. Larger room, bathtub, coffee maker in room but many say the biggest advantage is being able to eat dinners in Coastal Kitchen.

As a solo traveler, I find that having a balcony cabin all to myself is as good as a JS to a couple. Save your money. JMO.
Crusevettegs Posted January 20, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted January 20, 2020 It’s a royal up offer. Lowest offer was 300.00.
LeeW Posted January 20, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2020 You won't get an extra point with RoyalUP (just the 2 you already get for a single in a cabin). Slightly more space and a tub, plus you won't get to pick the location. You can get a lot of drinks or shore excursions for $300.
Tee & Chilli Posted January 20, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2020 If traveling solo I wouldn't pay to upgrade.
Crusevettegs Posted January 20, 2020 Author #7 Share Posted January 20, 2020 Thanks for the advice and info. Canceled. I really like my location if my balcony. And I bought a new phone instead. Lolol. need that more than the space. Lol
cb at sea Posted January 21, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 21, 2020 Yes...there is a big size difference between a JS and a normal balcony cabin. A JS is about 1/3 as large in the cabin, and because it's wider than a balcony cabin, the balcony is also wider. And, because of the TUB in the bathroom, it's also larger than a standard bath. As a solo traveler, a normal balcony is perfectly FINE for 1 person.
