We're going to Alaska on the Eclipse in July. All ports we visit have late departures. 10 pm, 8 pm and 8:30 pm. Is the MDR serving dinner while we are in port.

Thanks

Yes, MDR will be open. We went back to the ship to eat, then back out to the port on late night departures.

Will they let you dine in the select (open) dinning room on those night if you get back late and miss your dinner sitting (6pm in the MDR)?

No, but occasionally (e.g. when Solstice visits Victoria from 5pm until midnight on the last night), they will make all dining open dining for that night.

On many cruises when the ship has a late departure they have open seating in all restaurants.

Okay great, I will call them and ask.  We are on the same ship to Alaska the OP is referencing and the Juneau and Ketchikan dates are 8 and 8:30PM departures
