DCP Posted January 28, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2020 Just checking, we'll be going in a couple of weeks. We've always docked previously, but I read today that they're having some ships tender there now? Does anyone have current information regarding this? Thanks! Recent reports were that NCL were now using the new pier instead of tendering. How many ships in port?
DCP Posted January 29, 2020 Author #3 Share Posted January 29, 2020 Thank you! I haven't checked to see how many ships will be in port that day. I was really surprised at the changes to the port there. (it looks like they filled in that *lagoon* area - at least a good portion of it)
Rare crewsweeper Posted January 29, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2020 I'm assuming you are NOT on a Carnival, Princess or HAL ship which would DOCK in Mahogany Bay. In Coxen Hole the new pier appears to accommodate 2 ships. Thank could mean a 3rd ship in port would tender in. But most likely that would be the smaller of any NCL ship or Celebrity, et.al. Royal usually gets in early and typically only schedules 1 ship at a time there. That may change with new pier. But according to a couple of sites, there's never more than 2 ships in Coxen Hole on any given date in February. There are days with 3-4 ships in Roatan but 1-2 are schedule for Mahogany Bay. rubytue Posted January 30, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2020 (edited) Can confirm there can be two ships at the new Coxen Hole pier. We were on the Pearl, docked at 8am. We came back and the Breakaway (I think) was docked next to us. This was this past Monday. Edited January 30, 2020 by rubytue
