CPT Trips Posted February 10, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2020 A round trip from Le Havre to Paris is probably about 5 hours on a bus.
ducklite Posted February 10, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2020 By the time you arrive in Paris is will be time to leave. Paris is a city best seen on a land based vacation or at the start or end of a river cruise.

Add at least an hour from 7:00 AM scheduled arrival for tour to get underway and plan to get back to Le Havre by 6:00 PM to allow for re-boarding and possible delays — that means you might have from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM to “do” Paris (if everything goes right). Give yourself a break - schedule a couple days pre-cruise and/or post-cruise and plan to actually see something - use that port call at Le Havre to enjoy a less crowded ship while the mob spends their day on a bus.
CPT Trips Posted February 10, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2020 Or visit Honfleur or Etretat. Much closer and well worth the visit.

And the train only comes about once and hour, so if you miss it it's another hour. Plus the walk to the train stations. If you take a shore excursion again you have to wait for stragglers, wait for the bus to fill, and in the big picture with Paris traffic, I just don't see the point of making the trip.
