DRS/NC Posted February 16, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2020 I fly into LAX about noon on 4/10. I need to get to the hotel in San Pedro for my 4/11 cruise. I am an senior w/mobility issues & I'll be traveling solo. I'll have wheelchair assistance from the arrival gate to baggage claim. I plan to book a car service for LAX to San Pedro. I've read that "ride share" vehicles aren't allowed to pick-up at the terminal & that pax must use a shuttle to get to the ride share area. How does this work for handicapped and/or seniors? I know that I cannot get my bags, my rollator/walker & myself onto a shuttle. Yes, I'll post this on the Disabled Cruisers page too. Thanks! riffatsea Posted February 17, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2020 Private car service is still allowed to pick up outside of baggage claim. They are not considered to be "ride share".
coastcat Posted February 17, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2020 https://www.flylax.com/UI/Flylax/Views/Lax-It/accessibility-info.html According to the LAXit page on accessibility, the shuttles are ADA compliant with low floors and a ramp for entry. Drivers will assist with boarding and luggage. The LAXit rideshare lot is also designed for accessibility.
