Akureyri and Seydisfjordur

Question for those of you that have been to Iceland, specifically Akureyri and Seydisfjordur:

Are there independent excursion people off the pier that can be hired to take up around?

In Akureyri this may be possible, but I would book something in advance.   I doubt you will find anything in Seydisfjordur, too small a town

I’ve been to Akureyri; missed Seydisfjordur because of weather. There are a number of highly rated tour companies, you’ll find them here on CC and Trip Advisor. I would book someone in advance that I’d been able to vet.

We didn't see any and we booked our tour in advance . We used Tours by Locals a lot and they were good . We did the Puffins , Elves and More tour  with Wild Westfjords in Seydisfjordur and they were great . There were only 6 on the tour .
