ScottVV Posted February 20, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) So, I've been on a few cruises and the casino bar has usually been pretty spot on.... And what I mean by that is this.. I've rarely not got (not got, lol) a seat at the Casino Bar and most of the time, I've received the best service and quality of drinks there since they usually don't have a line 2-3 deep... Can I hope for the same service and "comfort", if you will, from the Casino Bar on the Bliss? 2nd part... The games. I know they have slots, but what table games do they have besides blackjack? Do they have 3 or 4 card poker? Let it Ride? Ultimate Texas Holdem? What about a craps table? I'll be cruisin' this April. Thanks much for the insight!!! Edited February 20, 2020 by ScottVV .... softl Posted February 20, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2020 The bar is in the smoking area of the casino and it smells. It can get pretty busy there as well. A dollar attached to your cabin card will get you better service.

I was hoping for a more logical or a not so smart-a$$ answer, but thanks for taking the time to up your post count - as I just did....
Mike_DeA Posted February 20, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2020 I haven't been on the Bliss yet, but I'm sure it's like the other NCL ships which typically have: Blackjack 3 Card Poker Ultimate Texas Holdem Mini Bacarrat Let It Ride (pretty sure they have this but not 100%) Pai Gow Poker Craps Texas Holdem poker - cash games and tournaments (where you play against other players, not the house)

The bar is NOT in the smoking section of the casino. That is enclosed and across the hall. The bar is also a lounge at night. The live and DJ music can get a bit loud at times. And the bar is busy during that time.

Jersey, I thought that the response was ok and didn’t deserve this rebuke. Edited February 20, 2020 by BirdTravels

These two may be on the Bliss but not in my memory🤔.
Sand and Seas Posted February 20, 2020 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2020 Even when the bar was busy, we found it well-staffed and didn't have to wait long for a drink. Very good bar-tenders there. As BirdTravels points out, the smoking area is enclosed and we never had a problem with smokiness in the area unless you are walking by just as that door opened. Sorry I don't know about the table games, but overall we thought the casino was well ran and had a great host staff.

Sorry I don't know about the table games, but overall we thought the casino was well ran and had a great host staff. We spent 14 nights on the Bliss and spent a lot of time at the casino bar. Service was very good. We never saw a DJ set-up there. Most of the noise came from the slot machines nearby. The bar also has video poker machines if you enjoy playing while you're hanging out. Only downside was the lack of a TV. Have a great time, Mike Edited February 21, 2020 by Mike C Add more info
NRWPA Posted February 21, 2020 #11 Share Posted February 21, 2020 I was on the Bliss last May. As stated above the casino bar is not in the smoking section. I never saw a dj or band set up there either but then I was on an Alaska itinerary. Also, and maybe for the same reason (Alaska) the bar was rarely busy and I had no problem getting drinks. I loved the ship!
softl Posted February 21, 2020 #12 Share Posted February 21, 2020 Just my opinion, the entire bar area reeked of tobacco smoke. My Bride smokes and spends considerable time in the casino smoking area. By virtue of marriage, I too spent time there. Non-smoker and non-gambler too. The service was good when there wasn't a crowd or when the shows and dinners closed! A dollar bill with my key card for a drink improved the service.
