I have searched the excursion board for aruba but couldn't find the answer.  we will be in aruba from 7 - 5.  If we did an excursion through rccl, it states it's 4 hours, leaving at 8:30, will we be back in time to shop in town for an hour or two? Just wondering if anyone did this.  It's site seeing with beach.

Yes you will have time to shop. You should be back from excursion no later than 1pm.

We did a sightseeing tour with beach time in March 2019 through RCCL. It was about the same time 4 hours, and we were back at the ship in plenty of time, we went to the shops afterwards with no rushing around.

The shopping is very close to the port, that being said, we were pretty dirty from our UTV tour and I skipped shopping to get a shower. I would do it again, had a fun day and saw the beauty of Aruba!

Saw the title "Aruba".....and just wanted to sing..."Aruba, Jamaica, ooh I wanna take you, Bermuda, Bahamas"......

 

There is a free trolley/cable car that stops just outside the cruise terminal.  It goes around town and comes back.  It gets pretty busy and the line may be long to get on.  If you love to walk and are able, then I would skip the free trolley and leave it for those who can't walk.

Yes it is a hoot and a half. We are seniors and had a ball on it.

We absolutely love Aruba.  One of our favorite islands.  Yes you will have plenty of time to wander around the local vendors near port and plenty of other shops all within walking distance of port.  The cruise terminal will also have some local vendors.   Our last time there in january we bought a lovely piece of art in cruise terminal.  The woman has some beautiful handmade pieces.  Her booth is on right side before you exit the terminal into aruba.
