Will the trolleys ever run again?

  Some  time  ago  I  as  researching  cruises  and  ports  and  I  read  about  the  trolleys  in San  Juan . It  seems  they  are  not  running  no  though . Does  anyone  know  if  there  is a  plan  to  start  using the  trolleys  again ?

Was just there this past week and didn’t see one trolley pass us by. We walked all the way to Fort El Morro, though the city streets, all the way past Cristobal fort to the beach. The trolleys May have been running but we didn’t see any and like I said we walked all over (which we planned to do anyway).

They were damaged in the hurricane but they plan to bring them back. They had a few golf carts taking people around the when we were there in Oct. If you Google Old San Juan golf carts you should find the info.

There are free yellow golf carts now.  Saw other posts saying they had problems finding them, but we used them all of the time the first week of Feb.  Usual wait time was less than 15 min; longest was 45 min 1 time at Morrow.  Hubby has mobility issues and can't walk distances, so they were great for us.

We were just there March 2022 and there are no trolly's.

We just finished a three night stay in Old San Juan.  No trolleys and very few yellow golf carts.  We just walked everywhere.
