Spot on! The cruise lines who stiff people now WILL be remembered when this blows over.

Nobody wants to cancel,this is special issue. Just give full refunds. They have already made handsome profits from the interest on thousands of passengers payments.

Closing schools for two weeks does what exactly? It's already been shown that kids are pretty immune to this virus. It's the elderly and unhealthy. So close the casinos. Close the senior social clubs.

 

The entire point is slowing the rate of spread to keep it from overwhelming the health care system.

We can argue what's going to happen in 4 weeks but the truth is no one knows -  and when and if there are cruises we will see. Rumors are starting that cities will be shutting down starting next week to contain this thing - Maybe it happens maybe it doesn't, but if it does you think cruises will be taking people on their dream vacations?? the Baltimore port is number one of many to come....

We have been informed that the Governor of Maryland has closed the Port of Baltimore. Approval has been granted for Carnival Pride to dock on Sunday to disembark guests currently on board. However, we are sorry that we will not be able to operate the March 15, 2020, cruise as scheduled.

 

All guests may select one of the following options:

• Receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC), plus a US$600, per stateroom, onboard credit when you rebook your future cruise.*

 

• Receive a cash refund, to be processed to the original form of payment within 90 days. 

In either case, taxes, fees and port expenses, pre-purchased Carnival shore excursions, beverage and Wi-Fi packages, and Fun Shop purchases will be automatically refunded. If you have independent air, we encourage you to contact your airline carrier directly as they are being flexible with change fees.  

Since we are experiencing a high call volume, please complete this form to let us know which option you prefer. We will process your request and send you a confirmation. There is no need to call us. 

 

We sincerely apologize for the disruption to your vacation plans and thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you on a Carnival cruise in the future.

We are supposed to be on the Pride on 3/22. If port is closed that means they will have to cancel the cruise, right? And that would mean a refund rather than a future credit, right? Fingers crossed!!

As seen above, looks like they just cancelled the 3/15 cruise. They probably won't cancel future ones yet until it gets closer incase the port is reopened by then.

Nobody, and I mean nobody is being stiffed.  If anything, the opposite is true.  Who should be remembered right now is San Juan and San Francisco, speaking of stiffing.

Any port being stiffed - Please call Carnival and tell then when this is over New York will take a full time ship!

They have not asked me for my cents on the subject yet😉, but if it were up to me, San Juan and San Fran could pound a lot of sand before I would give them the light of day.😎

San Juan would not let the Fascination dock there to disembark (their homeport). San Fran basically the same thing.  There were no covid issues on either ship.

Yet  -  Hopefully it stays that way but many have tested positive after getting off already on other cruises
