robmtx Posted March 18, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2020 Hey guys...just wondering what to expect with a cruise that I booked for June 7th. We booked it and applied FCC's to both cabins. These FCCs were from Anthem Feb Cruise that was delayed boarding. If we choose to cancel will we get the FCC vouchers back to use on another booking? If Royal cancels the cruise, will we get the FCC vouchers back to use on another booking? I've never had to cancel out a cruise that I applied FCC to, so not sure what happens. I know they'd issue me FCC if they cancel, in the amount of 125% of my fare...but technically they used the FCC I had to reduce the fare. e.g. each room was 1,800 and we applied $500 per room in FCC. So my invoice dropped to $1,300 per room. Will they base my refund/new FCC at $1,800 or $1,300? Just thought I'd ask here before sitting on hold for hours. Bonus question: Also, this was booked with NextCruise. Will we still be able to get the OBC offer on a future booking? TYIA
klfrodo Posted March 18, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2020 Pre Covid-19 day, FCC's were not insurable or transferrable. I'd plan on the worse case scenario and anticipate a new FCC for the $1300
leen50 Posted March 18, 2020 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2020 We have basically the same question. Scheduled on LOS 4/26/20. Booked with FCC from an Oct. Enchantment with problems. Also added a Casino offer to that. We are waiting for a cancellation from Royal so have not pulled the plug yet.We have a repo planned Nov. NJ to Gal. would like to apply some $ to that. Ourusualbeach Posted March 18, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2020 (edited) For those that cancel cruises under the cruise with confidence policy: If there is an existing FCC on the booking that will be reinstated with the original terms however if it was set to expire prior to Oct 31, 2020 then it will be extended to that date. The next cruise OBC will be transferred to a new reservation. A new FCC will be issued for the remaining balance with an expiry date of Dec 31, 2020 For those that received the 125% FCC or the refund due to cancelled sailings, I have not yet seen a definitive statement from Royal on how they are dealing with these. OP. There is very little or no hold times this week. I called 3 times yesterday and was not put on hold once.
