Crocs Question

Okay, ladies - just got off the Conquest this morning and am here to report on the Croc situation on board. DH and I wore our Crocs the entire cruise (except for formal night - LOL). I saw only one other pair on a woman and a couple of children were wearing them. I wore my Athens (pearl and turquoise) everywhere. :D Even getting off in ports and shopping. They are sooo comfortable. DH and I were tendering back to the ship from Cozumel and a man behind him asked where he got his Crocs. Said he was going to get some, too. DH wore his tan beach style and I also wore my pearl beach style but mostly lived in my Athens. I kept a sharp eye out for any and all Crocs but really didn't see that many. I think when summer gets here and it gets warmer we will see more of them. I have them on right now!! TG23

Lynn, (by the way, YES, my name is really Bonnie!) We are sailing on Explorer out of New Jersey (to Bermuda) in June. So I won't be able to see Freedom at the port :( . I absolutely LOVE Voyager-class ships so I know I will LOVE Freedom!!! Disney is also my "other" favorite vacation. I've been to Disneyworld about 30 times and have also been to Disneyland. We have not been to either in about 9 years though, so it will be great to be back. We did spend a day at the Contemporary prior to our Disney cruise a few years back, but we didn't go to the parks that time. We just shmoozed around the resort and then caught the Disney Cruise ship the next day. It was still fun though! Another vacation I enjoy that has a similar feel to cruising is Las Vegas! We don't gamble at all, but we just love all the stuff going on all over the place! Never a dull moment! I wonder if they wear Crocs in Las Vegas? Anyone out there from Vegas know the answer to that? I think my metallic Crocs will be perfect for my next Vegas vacation! :D

Hi, Bonnie,

Oh, that's right! I forgot the Explorer was moving to New Jersey! Bermuda!!! Now THAT'S a place I would love to hear about when you return. That's on my list of places I want to visit. It's hard for me to go anywhere other than the Caribbean, though, because living in South Florida makes it soooooo easy to get to the Port of Miami. I'm only about 25 minutes away. It's even worse during the week. I work about 10 minutes away. Sigh! So close, yet so far.

I have a seemingly silly Crocs question, but I have to ask it anyway: I'm now in the mode of wondering how to BEST clean Crocs. Okay, I've crossed the lines with this obsession <g>, but is there a good way to clean them. So far I've used 409, but I wanted something that would clean the soles better. They seem so cleanable (how's that for a bad word).

Any tips?

And as far as Disney World, if you haven't been there in nine years, all I can say is WOW! There are sooooo many additions since then. You'll have a BALL. This is how addicted to Disney that my family is: After Hurricane Wilma, it was soooo bad down here in South Florida, and we had a lot to face in our house yet without any power, that we packed up our two puppies, and my husband, 19-year-old son, and I headed to Disney World. We stayed up there for five nights and made the best of what was a terrible situation. We actualy have WONDERFUL memories from that trip, believe it or not. We came back home refreshed and better able to deal with all we had to face here.

Lynn

I swear I read somewhere you can just throw them in the dishwasher. But I haven't tried it myself.

Hello again, Bonnie and all - my goodness, I did miss a lot of good info while on our cruise. I have not seen turquoise crocs but know right now that I want some!!!:p I love my Athens so much, I am thiinking of getting another pair. Not sure about the Niles - I am thinking about them. Do they come in turquoise?? Anyone know?? I, too, have heard of washing them in the upper shelf of the dishwasher but have not done that, yet.

I know our Dillards had a huge ad a couple of weeks ago, with Crocs in living color. I almost got the navy but they didn't have my size so now I think I will go for the turquoise!!! I have not seen the coral but I think I would like them, too. Pretty soon our closets will look like Croc warehouses - LOL. TG23

...in my new TURQUOISE Crocs!!!! They are AWESOME!!! Without any doubt these are my favorite Crocs yet!!! They also are a perfect fit right out of the box!!! No stretching or shrinking required!!! Perfect, perfect, perfect!!! The color is just beautiful!!! Did I mention that I LOVE THEM? My husbands Crocs came too, but he isn't home yet to try them out. I will keep you posted on that saga!

Also of interest....I had a boy from my son's school come up to me today and say, "I liked those shoes you wore to the basketball game on Saturday! They were cool!"...

Can you believe that? Right out of the mouth of a 12-year-old boy! My pink Crocs are "COOL"!!! I am now one hip momma!!! Wait till the world sees m TURQUOISE Crocs! :D

He just tried on his black Cayman's! He looks so cute! He says they feel a little large but I showed him on the Croc's website where they explain how the shoes are "supposed" to fit and he said, "well, that's exactly how they fit!" He's been wearing them ever since he put them on! I think he's hooked! Now we are truly a Croc family! Well, we do have an adult daughter who is out of our nest and on her own. I suppose she could use some Crocs! She did see me wearing them on Saturday and she didn't puke or anything at the sight of them! Maybe she will be my next convert! ;)

It is really strange how every pair of Crocs fits so differently! I have 7 pairs of Crocs so far, all in size medium (womens 8/9), and every single pair fits differently! Thank goodness they will mold and conform to your foot! Otherwise, none of the Crocs I've purchased would have fit me except the Turquoise ones! They were the only ones that fit me right out of the box! They are awesome! The color is terrific too! Very deep turquoise shade! But I've had to "alter" the size of all my other Crocs to get them to fit me comfortably. I am surprised at the amount of inconsistancy in the sizing of these shoes!

Hey Bonnie, We Are Going To Vegas In June For 4 Nights . Can You Tell Me What All You Have Done In Las Vegas Besides Gamble ? I Don't Want To Just Go To Gamble Either . My Husband And Dad Are Planning On Renting A Car To Go To Hoover Dam And Try To Find Some Museums. My Mom Is Planning On Gambling But I Don't Think I Will Want To Just Gamble .

There is so much to do in Vegas! For starters, you could spend an entire week just exploring all the amazing resorts on the strip! I just walk from resort to resort and wander around admiring the decor and the exquisite lobbies, exploring all the shops (and believe me, there are a LOT of shops to explore in every resort). Many of the resorts have some sort of "feature" that is worth visiting. An exhibit (such as the Titanic exhibit which was there on one of my trips), a wax museum, or a special show (Cirque de Soleil has several OUTSTANDING shows in Vegas...my favorite being "O" at the Bellagio) or some astounding fountain displays, or gardens, or a circus, or a pirate attack, or an amusement park, etc., There is just no end to the supply of things to see right in the resorts! I spend a lot of time just relaxing around the pool too! Many of the pool areas at some of the resorts are a sight to behold! There is always entertainment around every corner too! Many shows available! Music, comedy, Vegas-style production shows, you name it! Then there are tours available daily from most of the resorts as well! I've done a tour of the "stars" homes, a tour of Hoover Dam, A "Lberace" tour (remember him? I did that tour back when he was alive. We rode by his house (which was somewhat modest), his mother's house, and stopped at the Liberace Museum. I loved Liberace back in the day! I know that sounds lame now though, but I was very excited about the tour back when I took it). I took a tour that stopped at various resorts throughout the area and they give somewhat of a "history" of the growth of Las Vegas and we visited some of the "key" resorts and we had light meals and snacks at each different resort . There are also much grander tours you can take that involve helicopter trips to other areas. I believe there is a Grand Canyon tour that leaves from Vegas. Anyway, as you can see, there is a lot to do in Las Vegas without setting foot in the casinos! But even if you don't gamble, I do recommend you set foot in the casinos just to look at them! Some of them are quite amazing sights to see! The Bellagio is rather ornate with a lot of Chihuly glass to admire! Oh, and did I mention restaurants? Every resort has a multitude of dining selections! You will not run out of things to do, places to see, or meals to eat! Have a great time!!!!!

I was out of town at a conference this week, conveniently located right next to a mall, and I bought 2 new pairs of crocs at their Dillards - they had colors, where my Dillards at home had only neutrals. Bought the bright green and khaki. I was surprised too that each pair fits a little differently! And they were great to wear at the conference - lots of walking on concrete floors.

BTW, my co-worker called me a CROC WHORE!!!!:p I said, no, that's CROCOHOLIC to you, missy!!:D

I order all of my Crocs from their website crocs.com and they have "croc butter" for cleaning them. I haven't ordered any yet, but was wondering if anyone knows what is in it?

I would be afraid of putting them in my dishwasher as I would think this would maybe dry them out and possibly crack after awhile... I don't know but super hot water could possibly fade them also. Does anyone know?

I have three pairs of Cayman Crocs I love them. Now I need the Athens flip floops. The Caymans run in number sizes. I bought a womans 8 and they fit great. What size do I buy in the Athens flip flops. Also where online did you buy them. I looked on the Crocs website and they did not have them. Seemed strange to me. Zappos does not have the Athens either. I bought my present ones in a store here at home but they did not have the Athens at that time either. Going to Florida in 12 days and would like a pair for vacation.

Thanks for your help all you Croc fans.

:D Well, I just ordered my second pair of crocs. Love them, love them, love them!! I got my first pair of pink beach ones at Dicks Sporting Goods (online). $29.99 free shipping and free returns (which I thought was fabulous). I then got an email from them saying I could take 10% off my next order! So... I got a pair of sage beach crocs for $26.99 - free shipping and free returns. Yipee!!:D

Taylorshoes.com has Athens and they deliver very quickly! Shipping is $5 for one pair and $2.50 for 2 pairs. I wear a 9 1/2 and I ordered the Athens (flip-flop) in a size 9 and they fit great (but I hate thong sandals and couldn't get use to the darned thong between my toes, so I ended up returning my Athens). The footbed of the Athens was divine though! Very comfortable!

I have ordered the Athens from the croc.com website. They have ten different colors available. Look under the "shop" button.

I like ordering from them directly because they have every style and every color and I can't usually get that from other websites.

I love the Nile flip-flops! I just need more colors:(.

No one here in the Fort Worth area carries the Athens style, yet. :( I ordered mine (and DH's) from Nordstrom's website. They have a flat $5 shipping charge and I got them in 3 days! :p I got the pearl and turquoise and DH got the black. That's all I wore on our cruise two weeks ago - even to go shopping in port. :D Good luck!! TG23

:) O.K., you made me do it!!!! I ordered a pair of Caymans and a pair of Nile. Cayman in pearl; Nile, light blue. Now, can I really wear these ALL over the place, or not???? When you say you wore them shopping in port, did your feel sweat or feel yucky? Do they feel comfortable??? You're all right--they're sooo ugly (Cayman) that they're cute. I think the Niles are cute anyway. :)

My orange Beach style Crocs just arrived. I am wearing them now. I did have to pop them in the dryer for a bit to stretch them out. Now they are perfect!

I wore my pink Crocs to my son's Pinewood Derby this Saturday. It was a warm day and I was not wearing socks. My feet did get a little sweaty but it didn't cause a problem or anything. I was on my feet all day (I was working the bake sale at the Derby) and my feet did get a little sore in my Crocs :( . I think if I had worn socks I would have been fine. When I got home I put socks on right away (but kept the pink Crocs on) and it felt better immediately. My pink Crocs seem to fit different than all my other colors. They seem squishier and with less of an arch. Now, because they are so darned "cute" I have worn them more than my other colors and perhaps I am already wearing them out? Having Plantar Fasciitis and heel spurs, I find that a good arch is the key to my comfort. If the arches in my Crocs don't hold up, I will have to go back to my Birkenstocks (which I also love and have WAAAAAAYYYYYY too many of!)
