The incubation period is 2 -14 days, so it could have been anywhere. My thoughts exactly. Maybe on flight home from cruise.

Flights home, definite possibility. Big difference in the number of identified cases. There is a difference. We don't even know the time frame as to when this person became identified or when RCI found out about it.

I never use my fingers only and knuckle or an elbow, and then I use alcohol based sanitizer! I have become quite the germaphobe.

Absolutely, I was just agreeing with the PP that it was a possibility that they contracted it after the cruise

They didn't tell us who it was, not even the gender, but the health official said if we had contact with this unknown person we needed to get tested. No wonder why with rules like this the virus will spread. Did they even listen to what they said? You're supposed to guess if you had contact with someone who they won't tell you who they are? Did anyone question that?

During the meeting the person said "she" and you could tell they let some of the cat out of the bag. If the public had the names of the people with the virus we could easily find out if we had any contact. But this process puts a strain on the "investigators" who have to interview the patient and then try to contact anyone who they came in contact with and delays any action we could take to protect us or others.. We need answers quickly.
STANCPA44 Posted March 26, 2020 Author #32 Share Posted March 26, 2020 My cousin was on the Holland Nieuw Statendam on the March 8th cruise, she also received a letter from Holland stating there was an individual that was eventually tested positive for the virus. As the number of cases increase and this spreads EVERYWHERE, CDC requiring this kind of notification is pretty much a waste of time.
