ed01106 Posted March 26, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2020 The biggest gamble with going on a cruise isn't going to be in the casino. 1
picantel Posted April 1, 2020 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2020 I got the offers but I am not falling for it. First they were putting stuff up like free cruise then you click on it and it says pay $200 per room and get $400 credit. Then you put 2 people in and suddenly they wanted $200 per person plus of course fees and taxes. After I shredded them on facebook(not that they care) they changed it to $200 per person get $400 credit. Basically you are handing them $700. Normally I would go for it but this feels more like they are trying to get cash up front and not care about the actually cruising part. They just issued millions of new shares and bonds at around 13%. They pay nothing if they get cash from their customers. Finally look at their refund policy. They have been inconsistent and not honoring cash refunds. Maybe it is a good deal but I do not trust carnival at all right now and will pass. Over the last 2 years they have really treated their casino players like crap so I will return the favor.
Pistol23 Posted April 3, 2020 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2020 I agree that they are not taking care of their players. I get a lot of “free” cruises with Carnival. While on the ship, I like to play the poker tournaments. If you win, they give you an entry into a future $150,000 tournament. But, they don’t give you a free cruise for that tournament. They say they will give you a good deal for that cruise, but they do not.
seaturtle_808 Posted April 3, 2020 #5 Share Posted April 3, 2020 I've taken advantage of two hot streak casino offers this week. One to rebook our weekend cruise in May (3 day for $460 cabin total for oceanview with $500 obc plus $300 obc for rebooking) and then one for Feb 2021 (3 day $650 cabin total for oceanview and $500obc). So they do have good deals depending on the sailing you're interested in.
Casino Player Posted April 5, 2020 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2020 HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO Fellow Casino goers: Having deals is a good thing, however, if ships aren't sailing what good is the deal? 3
Slacktide Posted April 20, 2020 #7 Share Posted April 20, 2020 In these uncertain times I’ll keep my cash in my account and not Carnival’s. Who’s to say what’s coming down the pike. If they belly up (file for bankruptcy) your money disappears

AAAAmerican Posted July 14, 2020 #9 Share Posted July 14, 2020 Yes, as in anything in life. It is what we make of it. Life, Love, and cruising!
muggo11 Posted July 25, 2020 #10 Share Posted July 25, 2020 (edited) Yup. Booked two Carnival freebies (aft balconies!) for march and May in Sydney Australia in 2021. It is a gamble but the cruises are terrific and I am only out $400+ each for the two for two of us. . What will be, will be. It is all COVID-willing. Live your life. Live your life!
