I tried a dummy booking earlier today.  The FCC didn't show up, would have had to have provided credit card details.  I'll be setting aside a morning as well....

No joy for me either when I tried a dummy booking.  I've sent an e-mail to P&O asking the question, just in case someone there might provide clarification, but I'm not expecting a quick answer under current circumstances.  So, it's on to the long hold on the phone sometime soon...

In my email it said the FCC would be applied within the coming weeks.

So it seems you have to phone to get it straight away.

Phone and book a replacement, not just phone, otherwise you would jam up the phone lines for no real purpose.

You can always use a TA, the big online cruise specialists are still operating, even though their agents are working from home, and they will be experts at how to handle these FCCs.

We got a cancellation invoice showing the wrong details (but had been warned by P&O that this would be the case). So far that has been the only correspondence but at least we know they received the form.

So a couple of you have said you got a confirmation email for your cancellation. I have received nothing and I have checked my junk folder. I filled in the online Form yesterday around midday.

I did mine as soon as we received the email and have received nothing..

I wonder if the ones who received theirs are from the first wave of cancellations?

Ours went to the junk mail but we did get something, it took a good few days to come so you may get something yet.

Just checked my spam folder and, yes, mine went in there too.

I would urge everyone to check their spam / junk folders for both the cancellation email which allows you to opt for a cash refund and for the cancellation invoice.

I have never had issues with P&O email before but it all now seems to go into junk for some unknown reason.

Following the announcement we opted to cancel our Oceana Cruise leaving Valletta 7 May rather than take the FCC as we were planning a trans Canada trip for my 70th and were not planning a cruise in 2021 in order to save up for this.

I "clicked through" the web page to ask for a cash refund, and got an automated response. Anyone have any idea how long it takes before you get an actual cancellation invoice,  or indeed any form of notification at all?

I know there will be thousands of refunds to process, so am not being impatient, but would be interested in the likely timescale.

I’ve just checked back, we were 8 days before we got anything.

Thank you- that's quicker than I expected!

I’ll let you know when the money actually comes back.

They are already way over the 14 days and in spite of my views on that, I’ve not bothered them 😀

It will be interesting to see the timing. I assume you were told 45 days for repayment, whereas we are on 60 days.

I know I'm being pessimistic,  but I'll breath a sigh of relief when the money comes through.
