islacruzer Posted April 3, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2020 I opted for a future cruise with an onboard cruise credit. I'm on the Carnival website managing my booking, but I don't see where I can see the onboard credit? Do you know if there are any restrictions for OCC? Can the credit be used for just about anything including Duty Free purchases like Jewerly or Liquor or Shore Excursions? There's CruiseCash and then there's CruiseCash bar. Can the CruiseCash be used at a bar or are bar tabs strictly for CruiseCash Bar? Trying to differentiate the two. Anyone been in the GameRoom on the Fascination? If so, have you noticed a game there called Winner's Ringer? Played this on the Victory and could not find this game anywhere on land. For those who have been to PR, how is it like now after the storm? Is it worth booking a place and roaming around for a few days? Any recommendations for shore excursions that are kid friendly on the Eastern Carribean route out of PR? Thanks in advanced.

I was able to find my May 16 OBC on my booking from TA (she took care of it a couple of days ago). The 10/2020 cruise I did online through Carnival. 2. I know shore Excursions you can use OBC. I don't buy jewelry or liquor on a ship in the duty free shops. 3. cannot help 4. cannot help but you are on a port intensive cruise. You may not care about playing a video game! 5. Puerto Rico is fine. I was just there for 4 days during the earthquakes in January. We stayed in Culebra which is an island off of Puerto Rico. We were also there about 4x since hurricanes and each time, we were impressed how much better it was. 6. Kid friendly excursions is a wide range. What are their ages? Can they swim? Have they snorkeled? I have 5 children that are older (20s) but when they were younger, we taught them how to snorkel and kayak on these stops and also rented cars a lot. We always found some place that had an animal rescue or anything to do with animals (stingrays, turtles...etc...) It is hard asking active kids to sit at a beach all day but if we needed to, we found an all inclusive that had activities like kayaking or a snorkel trip. As an aside, I married a man who is like a 12 year old active child and I do not know the meaning of relaxing on a beach with a drink in my hand and toes in the sand. We are constantly hiking, biking, snorkeling, exploring on these islands. Sitting at home quarantined right now, makes me appreciate those times when we went off the beaten path to see Philips Garden in Aruba or the Donkey Sanctuary in Bonaire and Antigua. My kids still talk about those days and how much fun they had.

Yes, you can use the OBC for shore excursions, but they have to be bought on the ship, not prior to boarding. IMO, that part sucks - some of these shore excursions sell out, so don't want to wait to get on board to book. And they are expensive! I will have quite a bit of OBC on my upcoming cruise and would love to use it precruise on my European excursions. grumble grumble

Check your contract to be sure, but I think OBC can be used for anything onboard. Some promotions exclude using it for gratuities and possibly casino use, but generally anything purchased on board will go against OBC first. If you prepay gratuities, excursions, drink packages, specialty dining, etc then OBC would not be used for those. 3. Cruise Cash can be used for any onboard purchase, including beverage services. Cruise Bar Cash can only be used for beverage services. There is a limit of $500 per cabin of each type so some like to have different types of bar cash. It is nonrefundable (and only general cruise cash can be used at the casino) so you don't want to get more than you think you will use. 4-6. sorry, no help again

ZoeyVictoria Posted April 9, 2020 #9 Share Posted April 9, 2020 1. Under “My To Do List” in Cruise Manager Home, select “print documents”, then “print general information”. The OBC should be listed on the invoice, page 2 of the 6 page document.
Anyislandwilldo Posted April 9, 2020 #10 Share Posted April 9, 2020 If you go to print your documents, you will find the OBC on your receipt page of your documents. I don't print my documents until we are ready to leave but I pretend I'm going to print so that I can see all the info on the documents under print preview.
