Cancelled Cruise - PvP Process

It’s not a simple process for PVPs - thankful for good ones.

1) Two days ago notified of cancelled cruise - had deposited $600 - final payment not yet due.

2) Emailed PVP and she responded asking me what my choice was - I chose $600 FCC and $600 OBC.

3) Did research for two days - what cruise should I choose? - decided on one and communicated it to PVP.

4) She completed necessary documents on my behalf and this is my bottom line:

$200 of my $600 is available immediately towards my deposit

I had to add $50 towards the $250 deposit

the additional $400 will take about a week to appear on my Cabin Confirmation

the $100 OBC that is part of current promo shows up immediately

the $600 OBC as a result of cancelled cruise will show up eventually

Hopefully this is helpful to some. Even the PVPs have “hoops” to jump through with the system.

cellfre, glad you had a good experience.  My PVP also made it painfree and simple.

My September cruise was booked with a TA of long standing.  He too is taking time for all of my what if questions.

This is one situation where for me at least it's good to have knowledgeable people to talk with rather than trying to do it on my own.

We world with a TA also.  Our cruise was canceled on a Tuesday and we took the FCC with $600 obc.  Booked a new cruise last night for January and as of this afternoon all our money and the obc is already on my new cruise  so thankful for a great TA

Is your TA a Carnival PVP?

I had always just booked online instead of using my PVP, until this mess started.  Twice since March 10th he has made my life simple by coordinating FCC for 5 people in two cabins being transferred to a new booking without losing money or needing to put down a new deposit.  I would be a frustrated mess without him.

I love my PVP.  I have two cruises booked in 2021 and a cancelled Legend cruise this fall. I was able to apply my FCC (which frankly was only a deposit) and $600 OBC to one of my existing cruises, as well as a currently offered lower cabin rate too.

Can't wait to cruise in 2021!
