Waycoolrob Posted April 19, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2020 While I am sure it is here somewhere, I cannot find it. We want to book a future cruise using our FCC which we have not received yet (supposed to be on Symphony right now) Does anyone know if we can call and have it applied before we actually receive the email? Since it is obvious we are going to use it, as our April 18th sailing is not happening, unless they left without us yesterday!
stevea36 Posted April 19, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2020 (edited) If you use a TA they can book your new cruise and no deposit is needed until May 31 or final payment date, whichever comes first. This is only available thru a TA You can, however, book a cruise, put down a deposit, and apply your FCC at a future date, before final payment. The FCC does not have to exist before you do the booking. Edited April 19, 2020 by stevea36
Waycoolrob Posted April 19, 2020 Author #3 Share Posted April 19, 2020 Thank you for your quick reply! So we would have to put deposit again? Would that deposit be refundable after FCC applied?

Would that deposit be refundable after FCC applied? Nope. That's why I asked for a refund on my 2nd fcc. New rules, cant apply more than 1 fcc to a booking, and now cant get any of the deposit refunded. There is a thread on this by ourusualbeach who is a TA. firefly333 Posted April 19, 2020 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2020 I feel like the new rules to apply your fcc are designed to get you to put in more real money.

Would that deposit be refundable after FCC applied? You don’t get your deposit back per se but the money that you used for the deposit can be applied to port fees and taxes, gratuities, insurance and transfers. All these have to be paid for and cannot have FCC used to pay for them. Just the port fees and taxes and the prepaid gratuities cover nearly all of the deposit so you can still apply pretty close to the same amount of FCC to the booking. Waycoolrob Posted April 19, 2020 Author #8 Share Posted April 19, 2020 (edited) Thank you all for your help! One more question, if there is remainder on our FCC does that go as an on board credit, or as a credit for a future cruise? Thank you again Rob Edited April 19, 2020 by Waycoolrob Miss spelling

Thank you again Rob They will issue a new FCC for the remainder after you complete the cruise that the FCC was applied to.

Thank you again Rob Yep you have to book another cruise and probably tie up more real money to use the remainder fcc. I'm starting to like how carnival does it better.
