We are booked for our 50th cruise on the Radience in November (hope, hope, hope).

Our understanding that is we get an OBC worth 50% of our fare. Right or wrong? (Doesn't have any relation to being Diamond.)

Once you reach 50 cruises, you can use it on any cruise you choose but have a window to use it in. So, if you have an expensive cruise coming up, use it on that one as you will get a lot more OBC.

Yes, for us this was a good choice. Aft wrap balcony on the Radiance, 8 day cruise. Fingers crossed.  :-)

My PVP told me we had to complete our 50th cruise before redeeming the 50% off.

It’s not 50% off, it’s 50% OBC. We cruised with a couple last year who both used their 25% OBC on their 25th cruise, an 8 day cruise on Horizon. I was planning to use my 50% OBC on my 50th cruise on Mardi Gras next Spring, although that will no longer be my 50th cruise due to cancellations.

Incorrect . . . You can use it on your 50th cruise, but have to inform them so they can give you the OBC on it.

For the person redeeming only, both of you would have to use your benefit to get the obc of both fares.

That's why I said above good time to book solo cabins.

Exactly ! Since my 25th was a solo I got credit for the DOUBLE amount since I was paying the DOUBLE amount. Had I had someone cruising with me (I sometimes take my ex wife), I wouldn't have. 😃

I looked but no longer see this perk. Did they take it away?

GUEST RECOGNITION - MILESTONE REWARDS PROGRAM

As part of Carnival’s Guest Recognition Program, Milestone Rewards was developed in appreciation of longtime Carnival guests.  This milestone reward benefit is in addition to the wide range of amenities and privileges that guests already receive as part of the VIFP Club.

Milestone Rewards Program denotes a guest’s 25th, 50th 75th and 100th revenue cruise with Carnival.  Guests will receive a special Milestone Sail & Sign card on their corresponding Milestone cruise.  We want to distinguish guests on their Milestone sailing with a unique card so that we can make his/her Milestone experience extra special and memorable.  After this milestone cruise, they will revert to the card that corresponds to their VIFP level.

In appreciation for their loyalty, the guest will also be granted the opportunity to redeem a future non-refundable onboard credit equivalent to 25%, 50% or 75% of the cruise ticket price, corresponding to the milestone reached. And when a guest reaches his/her 100th cruise, will qualify for a FREE Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska or Australia cruise of their choice (8 days or less, for 2 guests), in accommodations up to and including Ocean Suites (category OS). This onboard credit may be applied to any future cruise in accordance with the terms and conditions below.

Correct and incorrect. I have been told both ways by Carnival reps. We are going to do our 50th soon. Using mine on one cruise and my wife's on another because the OBC on them are already high. When we did our 25th I didn't even know about any discount. A bartender noticed the diamond 25th cruise card and asked if we got the discount. I went to customer service and they gave it to us in OBC.
