FLAlaska Posted May 4, 2020 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2020 (edited) I have an FCC from a cancelled April cruise. I haven’t used it yet. I now will also have one from an august cruise that is cancelled. Can I use them both for 1 cruise? Edited May 4, 2020 by Host Carolyn Organize FCC posts
atobols Posted May 4, 2020 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2020 (edited) You'll be able to use both FCC but you'll only get one onboard credit if you use all your FCC on one cruise. Edited May 4, 2020 by atobols clarification
willandallie1 Posted May 4, 2020 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2020 So my July 25 Cruise was cancelled. I was wondering if I can use the FCC on an existing Cruise we are booked on a cruise for June 2021 or does the FCC have to be used on a new booking? TIA
Rare Jamman54 Posted May 4, 2020 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2020 You can transfer your FCC to an existing booking. I did two such transfers. 😎
ladylyn915 Posted May 4, 2020 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2020 We received our letter from Carnival this morning. We now have the choice of full refund or FCC+$600 OBC. We have until 12/22 to rebook with our FCC. This is the question: If I book Mardi Gras in March 2022 now and decide to cancel for a cruise in 2021 will I lose FCC and OBC? Thanks for any insights. seafoy Posted May 4, 2020 #7 Share Posted May 4, 2020 I’ve just had my re-booked cruise cancelled. Original cruise was April and re-booked for the end of June. What can I say, I’m an optimist! 😄 When I re-booked, the second cruise was much lower in cost than originally booked cruise, so I received OBC for price difference in addition to OBC for re-booking. At this point, I think I would like to get a full refund. As my booking #’s changed from cruise to cruise, I’m concerned my original payment amount is not obvious. Are all my reservations linked on Carnival’s end? I would hate to wait three months to receive, and then receive the wrong amount!

The FCC will stay, but the obc will probably be lost. I had a client that had me transfer her booking, knowing that the 2nd person in the room would not be going, and would be swapped. I did the move, and then once she had the replacement, just swapped out the people. She kept the FCC, but 1/2 the obc was gone.

But, I am a little nervous about booking a cruise two years out. I was simply wondering if I cancelled a cruise in 2022 and booked a cruise in 2021, would I lose both my FCC and OBC. glentally Posted May 4, 2020 #10 Share Posted May 4, 2020 I received OBC when I canceled a cruise for May. I see different answers on other posts to the following question. Now that my August cruise was canceled do I get an additional OBC as stated in the letter? I would think the answer is yes or otherwise everyone would just ask for a full refund. Rare lazydayz Posted May 4, 2020 #11 Share Posted May 4, 2020 Pretty sure you are limited to one set amount for the cancellation. Mine was $600 for a week long cruise. If it gets cancelled again, I only get the $600 plus any new offer for OBC. If you find out different, please let us know.

If someone accepts the fcc and obc and then is canceled again there is no refund to get. They have fcc.

outatouch0 Posted May 4, 2020 #14 Share Posted May 4, 2020 Where can I find the policy on what exactly the onboard credit can and CANNOT be used for? I know these are geneally a use it or loose it. Can I for example gamble with it in the casino if it should be more than I can spend? Can I use it to pay for excursions? Spa treatments? thanks

Rare ibarrio Posted May 4, 2020 #16 Share Posted May 4, 2020 Do current OBC's transfer or do I only have the $600 OBC now? My July cruise had me at $900 OBC (none of which was from a cancellation)

That happens quite often. And if it's in your Sail & Sign account, you can use some or all of it in the casino.

WildBlueYonder64 Posted May 5, 2020 #25 Share Posted May 5, 2020 Here's our situation: We had two cabins booked, the first had 3 occupants, and the second cabin had 2. The cruise was paid in full, but we hadn't added the names of the additional guests, only the primary is listed on each reservation. We were planning on adding the names soon, but the cruise was part of this morning's round of cancellations. If the FCC is tied to guest names, how will this work for us?
