Adriatic in October

We are looking at cruises for next year and have seen an Adriatic cruise for October 2021. Has anyone been there in October? How was the weather? Hot,cold,wet or dry?

Having been in that area several times that time of year - from Venice down to the west coast of Greece - maybe just fortunate, but usually dry, sunny, with temps from low 60’s to mid 70’s - probably best time of year there — particularly because the summer crowds are gone.

In my experience there were mostly nice warm, not hot, sunny days. Yet  occasionaly we also had some rain and some colder days. Once we missed a port due to bad weather with high winds.

We sailed from Rome to Venice, gorgeous weather and much quieter than Summer

We've done several trips at that time and always had great weather (overall). 

 

Our very first cruise was 17 days on QE2 in 2007 and that was in October; Soton to Venice and back. That was the one that got us hooked. A storm did appear from nowhere whilst we were in Zakinthos which made the return journey on the tender quite exciting, but a couple of hours later it was gone completely.

I'm another one who has had warm dry weather on an Adriatic cruise in October. It was stormy in the channel the first night, but after that lovely throughout. Definitely a good time to go.
