CMV, the British company which operates the old Statendam now called Vasco di Gama and was was to have bought the Ryndam from P&O Australia has called in the administrators. The Company had been struggling since the start of the Covid outbreak.

Very sad as its not going to be easy to find new buyers for these old ships.

I have friends who have sailed on a few of their ships.  Marco Polo was a favorite.  Even as previous HAL cruisers, they were pleased because they preferred smaller ships and found the experience aboard the ship quite acceptable.  It's sad to know that the company is in trouble.  Not surprising, however, in this weird year of 2020.
